Schedule:

• Off-Pack Season (DecMay): Standard shift is 4:30 PM 1:30 AM.
• Fresh Vegetable Processing Season (JuneNov): Typically two shifts per day, each lasting 1012 hours.
• 4:30 AM 4:00 PM
• 4:00 PM 4:30 AM
• Shifts during peak season can vary day-to-day depending on production needs.

What Youll Do

As our Maintenance Mechanic Boiler Operator, youll be the go-to expert for all boiler-room and power-plant equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency by:

• Optimizing Boiler Performance: Test, adjust, and log boiler efficiency, water chemistry, and control settings.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct daily safety checks and monthly inspections of fire-prevention and emergency-response equipment.
• Water & Waste Systems: Operate and maintain water-supply pumps, chemical-feed systems, and waste-handling units.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine and scheduled preventive maintenance on boilers, steam traps, condensate return systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical issues, source parts, and execute timely repairs to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Installations & Upgrades: Support equipment installations and system upgradesrigging, alignment, calibration, and start-up.
• Recordkeeping & Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts inventories, and compliance documentation.
• Emergency Response: Lead boiler-room procedures during power outages, weather events, or safety incidents, and fill in on production equipment as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and safety teams to continuously improve processes and equipment reliability.

What You Bring

• Mechanical Aptitude: Hands-on experience with steam boilers, pumps, valves, and associated piping systems.
• Technical Knowledge: Comfort reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals; basic chemistry background preferred for water-treatment tasks.
• Certifications & Training: High school diploma or equivalent; forklift certification (or willingness to certify on Day 1).
• Safety Mindset: Commitment to GMP, OSHA, and internal safety policies, with a track record of working safely in industrial environments.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills, flexible attitude, and willingness to cross-train on production equipment when needed.
• Reliability: Ability to respond to after-hours calls and travel between sites if required.
