We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing financial operations for a laundry service division and supporting accounting functions for multi-family rental properties. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in property accounting and financial software to ensure accurate and efficient reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain detailed accounting records for the laundry service division, including tracking revenue from automated systems across multiple locations.

• Handle payroll processing for the laundry division to ensure employees are accurately compensated.

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.

• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements to support management in decision-making.

• Collaborate on accounting tasks related to multi-family rental properties, providing accurate financial insights.

• Utilize financial software such as Yardi, MRI, or QuickBooks to streamline accounting operations.

• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

• Provide support during month-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.

• Proven experience in property accounting, preferably within multi-family housing.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger and month-end close procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, or QuickBooks.
• Ability to manage payroll and accounts payable functions effectively.
• Experience preparing management financial statements and analyzing financial data.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of multifamily property operations and accounting practices.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
